User Interface

jOrgan can be started with a graphical user interface or with a command line interface.

GUI

By default jOrgan starts with a graphical user interface. It has two modes, Construct and Play. You can toggle between these two mode with a button on the toolbar:

  • Play
    In Play Mode jOrgan all elements of the Disposition are operational and and MIDI inputs and outputs become active.
  • Construct
    In Construct Mode you can alter the current Disposition. New elements can be added, existing elements changed or removed.

The program area is devided into Views, which can be freely arranged. A toolbar gives instant excess to the most common operations.

CLI

To start jOrgan with a command line interface you have to use the –headless command line switch:

java -jar jOrgan.jar --headless

You can then control the program in the jOrgan command shell:
